My work is a dialogue between intuition and intention, between chance and choice. I begin each piece without knowing its final form, guided by spontaneous gestures and unexpected marks that spark discovery. These moments, accidental yet profound, become the anchors around which I build layers of paint, thought, and emotion. Acrylic allows me the freedom to experiment, moving seamlessly from thick, expressive strokes to delicate washes, from brush to palette knife, from control to surrender.
Observation is as important as action in my process. I spend hours with each painting in quiet reflection, listening to what it asks of me and letting the canvas reveal its possibilities. I am drawn to complexity balanced with simplicity, to harmony where every element feels alive and connected. When that balance is achieved, I know the work is complete.
My inspiration is rooted in everyday moments and the invisible world of scent. Fragrances, their layers, memories, and emotional presence, awaken something in me that I translate into color, texture, and form. A passing smell, a layered aroma, or a whisper of fragrance can carry the same intensity as a visual moment, inviting me to capture its essence on canvas.
Ultimately, my paintings are about connection. I want people to engage not only with what they see, but with what they feel, to pause, reflect, and sense the layers of emotion and meaning embedded in each piece.
